Toddlers love to go! Their desire to go comes with the attraction to other things that go – people, animals, pull toys, tricycles, cards, planes and the list goes on. In Away We Go! we are happy to give you a wonderful unit that focus is on things that go, which leads into the exploration of the world of transportation.
- What are things that go?
- How do they sound when they go?
- Can I go like that?
- Can I make sounds like that?
These simple questions will help us journey through activities relating to trains, cars, buses, horses, wagons, aeroplanes and boats.
Transportation naturally relates to music and movement in your toddler’s life. The three main lesson focuses demonstrate this”
- Tempo – how fast or slow we can move….
- Level – up and down movements and sounds….
- Articulation – smooth and bumpy movements and sounds
- Stop and Go – including steady beat, forward and backwards, under and over, around and through, up and down, in and out, on and off etc….
Away We Go! includes some familiar chants and songs such as Wheels on the Bus, I’ve Been Workin’ on the Railroad. Some are less familiar, such as Silver Moon Boat of China, Hey Tswana of Botswana.
Away We Go! brings more good reasons for Kindermusik families to turn off the television, turn on the music and welcome the wind, snow, sun and rain into their day together!
